Judo

Judo (柔 Japanese meaning "the gentle way") was developed from the Jiu Jiutsu by Jigoro Kano. In Judo, no punches or kicks are allowed. Judo is primarily a sport but can also be used as a form of self-defense. The principle is called "Winning by Yielding". Circular movements use the strength of the partner and end in throwing or hold down techniques.

By promoting sense of movement and body control Judo is ideally suited for improving the strength and coordination for people of any age. Meeting times for randori training can be found under Training Schedule, dates for beginner's courses can be found under News/Events
